Movie Review and Story line:
Kavan is a social thriller film that tries to show the social responsibility of the media. The film revolves around television medium and the chemical company bonding to create the sensational news for the hunger of the TRP. The story is such that it will be hard-hitting. At the same time, it will have romance and action. In which Vijay Sethupathi plays a reporter (Thilak), Madonna is his colleague and Akashdeep is the villain. What happens when the hero decides to be part of change, is the one line of the story.
The film has Malayalam actress and premam fame Madonna Sebastian as the female lead. Akashdeep Saigal as the Villan, Simbu’s father T Rajender as a good person and owner of a media company, which also has casts like Vikranth, Chandini Tamilarasan, Pandiarajan, Jagan, Srinivasan and others.
Kavan is a mass film from KV Anand sir, which shows us understand how media manipulates us. It shows the dark side of the media & their hunger for the TRP. kavan effortlessly moves between love and mass scenes but it never fails to show us the politics in that field.
Vijay Sethupathi has acted in mass stylish hero making us enjoy along with some nice comedy touches. T Ranjender and Vikranth have done justice to their roles. The movie is receiving positive reviews released everywhere.
The subject Kavan deals with is different from the one Ko handled. Kavan touches upon a social issue, but it will not be preachy. It also attempts to tell the power of media in current times.
